A good example of collaborative supply chain optimization

D.S. Smith produce octabins for their customer. The Octabin Plano was optimized byD.S. Smith in collaboration with their customer such that it can be delivered on a normal PRS7 pallet. This enables delivery of octabin plano’s to the FHG PRS Return System customer when the PRS pallets can be used directly after internal quality control. Such agreed supply chain optimization is cutting costs in the supply chain thus benefitting all players in the supply chain.
